Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

It is one of the most exciting games for those who like to play games on VR hardware. The incredibly ambitious, open-world game Asgard’s Wrath 2 might very well be what you’ve been looking for.

“I personally feel this game is totally like open-world adventure and a person can really feel it while playing”

This sequel not only imagines what a huge VR RPG could be, but it totally reinvents itself multiple times over its 90+ hour campaign. People who played this game said it is a first-part game that is very natural and suitable for Meta.

I think it is the biggest budget game that Meta has created for VR hardware. This rollercoaster experience is designed specifically for virtual reality and could potentially become a breakthrough application for the Meta Quest 3 platform.

I only played a small part of what is included in this massive role-playing game, but based on what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think that level of assurance of the game developer is unjustified.

This Is Quest 3

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

As I mentioned this game is a VR (virtual reality) game in which you will feel the natural field of view with a computer-generated field of view.

However, this is not a VR but it is a fully realized open-world adventure on par with top PC and console games. More than just a tech demo, it shows that VR games can compete with traditional platforms for scope and polish.

Great potential comes great risk – this game could be a diamond or a dud. They still have time to polish the rough edges, so let’s hope these devs can handle the pressure!

Importantly, this is the type of game that could instantly sell systems for the Quest 3. The sequel continues after the events of the first game, which saw Loki betray the main playable god character of Asgard’s Wrath and rise to power.

The Character Of God

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

The character of the God in this game seems bold and the symbol of wrath. We can say Once again, that this god must gain the assistance of other gods (this time from the Egyptian pantheon) and mortals to halt Loki’s plan. The character of Loki builds a separate excitement and momentum in the story.

Asgard’s Wrath 2 continues the story from the first game. I play as a new god who can possess humans to help them fulfil their destinies. All to advance my own mysterious goals which looks like more divine hijinks are in store!

The Crocodile Fightings

If we talk about one thing that could be better in the fighting part, it’s the types of enemies. In the first part of the game, I liked fighting the funny-looking crocodiles, but there are a lot of them, and it might get boring.

It would have been more fun if there were different kinds of enemies to fight against. It takes a while before you meet other creatures like mummies, snakes, and pesky bugs.

Although i like the crocodiles in this game but according to human nature you will get tired after a little more time.

Moreover, there are a few times when you fight the same strong monsters more than once, like the cat-serpent creature, which feels a bit too much. It would have been better if there were more different challenges to face.

During this full adventure game, I got knocked out quite a few times by those crocodile buddies of mine. However, when it comes to big boss battles, it’s a bit different. Instead of testing your skills, they mostly give you a chance to feel powerful and cool at the end of each part of the game.

Big Budget Game

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

I think it is the big-budget game that Meta has created so far so, in my opinion, Meta can give it away free for its users. It is a 60-hour big-budget RPG which can give you fun-filled hours that could minimise your dopamine levels.

I can’t think of the last time an RPG had me this surprised and on edge the whole way through. What a ride!

For a long time, there’s just so much depth to the character progression in this game. Each hero has their own extensive skill tree that unlocks all kinds of buffs and cool special moves.  It really gives you more interesting strategies for using your gear in unique ways too. The amount of build options is insane!

Asgard Wrath 2 is the latest best VR game and it is hard to believe that this hard and complex game can be set on a standalone VR headset.

60 To 70 Hours Of Completion

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

There are numerous locales, lairs, and secrets to discover in Asgard’s Wrath 2’s epic campaign, which can take over 70 hours to complete.

You can also play the roguelike mode indefinitely after you finish the campaign and the overworld.

Each character in the game has a lot of options and cool stuff to explore, especially with their skill trees. These trees unlock lots of upgrades and special abilities that really enhance how you can use your gear. It adds more depth and makes playing each hero more interesting.

Puzzles Game In VR

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

VR games’ puzzle-solving sections provide a unique and immersive experience that greatly enhances player enjoyment. This adds an extra layer of challenge and enjoyment as players must consider the three-dimensional aspects of the puzzles.

The puzzle section in VR games provides a sense of scale that traditional gaming experiences may lack. I usually do not like puzzles in games but this game’s puzzle has changed my experience.

VR games offer a heightened level of hands-on interaction that significantly enhances the overall enjoyment of players.

The Overall Storytelling Of The Game

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review

If we talk about the overall story of this VR game, it has some sections when I got bored at some points as I mentioned above fighting with crocodiles. I personally think if you are not a nostalgic person, so you will not prefer playing this game.

I thought the different minds of people show likeness towards this game as this VR game is differently exciting and enjoyable.

Moreover, Asgard’s Wrath 2 already gives you way too many excuses to spend time in its world with all the countless things to do. It’s crazy that they also included such an in-depth roguelike mode on top of everything else.

Final Words Of Asgard’s Wrath 2 Review

Asgard’s Wrath 2 is easily one of the best VR games out there. It offers an engaging action experience that fully utilizes the Quest 3’s power. Combat is fast and fluid while environments look amazing.

This game will no doubt sell a lot of Quest 3 headsets. On the other hand, this game has some kind of bonker which I feel lacks the enthusiasm and excitement of the game. Such as overwhelmed fighting with crocodiles and the nostalgic environment of the game.
