At CES 2024, Nvidia Reveals Latest Gaming Chips and Forges Strategic Alliances with Chinese Gaming Firms

The American multi-technology gaming company Nvidia has announced partnerships with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers. Nvidia has also unveiled a series of gaming chips that enable game developers to use AI models in their digital characters.

Nvidia has partnered with gaming companies like miHoYo, Tencent, and NetEase to focus on AI digital human services. Nvidia’s Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) would use generative AI to create virtual digital humans at CES 2024.

This technology supports game developers to work on the advancement of digital characters thoroughly. On the contrary, Nvidia has introduced three new graphics processing units (GPUs). The gaming chips of RTX 4060 Super, RTX 4070Ti Super, and RTX 4080 Super range from $599 to $999.

These gaming graphic cards (GPUs) are designed for AI advancement in gaming apps and Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). Additionally, generative AI apps like Adobe Photoshop strengthen the visuals and rampant the workflow.

In December 2023, Nvidia introduced an advanced version of a gaming chip explicitly designed for the Chinese market with the support of US export controls against China. Moreover, Broadcast from NVIDIA enhances productivity and creative workflows by providing seamless virtual backgrounds and noise removal.

Nvidia officials said the RTX 4090D is a big step in advancing AI in gaming applications and will be available from January 2024. Answering a question from the media, Nvidia said that the RTX 4080 Super is positioned below the RTX 4090D in their Chinese product sequence.

According to the statistics report, RTX 4090D is worth 12,999 yuan in China and considerably more expensive than RTX 4090D in the US market. Nvidia stated that these GPUs are mainly designed for gaming apps but are capable of running AI applications. For example, RTX 4080 Super can generate AI videos 150% faster than its predecessor.

Nvidia also mentioned that the latest improvements in the software also speed up the process by five times. According to the US stock report, Nvidia surged by 6.4% which made its value $1.3 trillion. Similarly, other US stock chips like AMD and Intel also surged by more than 5% and 3%. The total stock of Nvidia has gone up by 230% due to people’s interest in AI and gaming apps.

The Nvidia GetForce RTX 4080 Super and 4070 Super models will only be bought from Nvidia’s official website. They declared a 20% core increase of RTX 4070 compared to other models, beating the performance of RTX 3090 with less power.
