Persona 5 Tactica Review

Persona 5 Tactica is one of the most exciting RPG games released in the 10 past years. The developer of this game is Atlus who was not happy about releasing one successful game in persona.

In my opinion, it is a great addition to the Persona series which makes the series more popular and enjoyable. All parts of the persona series were good but something different was needed to maintain the strength of the series.

Persona 5 is unique and enthralling among its all parts. This story does not match with the other stories which makes me more interested in playing this game.

I heard from my friends that the villains of this game are extremely evil but the real world evil cannot compete with this game. Persona 5 Tactica slides right into the final stretch of Persona 5’s narrative.

In this story, Thieves are dragged into dungeons based on a character’s perception of someone they are in conflict with.

This new twist adds a breath of fresh air to the usual game tropes, but if you’re jumping into Tactica as your first Persona game. The new story beats might leave you scratching your head. They are more of a treat for the seasoned fans who’ve been on this Persona journey before.

The story revolves around a woman character who wants to marry without love just for power and comes across as a harsh female boss. A father trying to control his son seems like a holy leader who governs people all while claiming it’s from “love.”

Tactica takes the power dynamics to an extreme, giving them supernatural abilities. However, the relationships and trauma it depicts still feel real.

I feel so empowered when I play this game which revolves around the wonderful story of emotions and empowerment.

The Phantom Thieves get sucked into this mess just because they happen to be nearby, but the game doesn’t exactly revolve around them. They are more like accidental players in this unfolding situation.

The story focuses on new characters like Erina, an aggressive revolutionary, and Toshiro, a politician who mysteriously ended up in the Metaverse world. Persona spin-offs tend to sideline the main characters, which can be annoying. But by the end of Tactica, I didn’t really care, as Erina and Toshiro are up there among the best Persona spin-off protagonists.

As the story unfolds, Erina bravely acts without thinking things through, while Toshiro cautiously hesitates out of fear. Both characters are so compellingly written that I was fully immersed in their journey. In my opinion, the writing surpasses the already great story from Persona 5.

I have put a lot of time into Persona 5 Tactica. I’ve finished the game twice now and done all the side quests. I even collected all the different Personas. After spending around 80 hours with it, I’m still enjoying everything it has to offer. This game really keeps on giving.

As a turn-based game, it allows the player to move and attack first before enemies but focuses on tactical positioning and melee or ranged attacks.

Some players who spent a ton of time in it may get a little tired of certain characters’ personalities after a while. Tactica’s turn-based battles might feel a bit sluggish at first, but trust me, they amp up in strategic satisfaction as the game unfolds.

The real bond that attracts me in this video game is the friendship and how these iconic characters continue to evolve.

I highly recommend this game for those who want to enjoy a game with an empowered story. The new friends the group makes are more mellow in their presentation and antics. Moreover, The menus, user interface, and cutscenes look incredible. Everything is so polished and well done. The voice acting is also fantastic.

If we talk about the music of this game series it has enchanting music which makes players more interested in the story. While the music quality may not be quite as good as Persona 5, you can still hear the familiar Persona sounds and beats rocking throughout the game.

On the other hand, at some point in the story of this game, I feel monotonous and repetitive. Although the story is unique if you are choosy in nature it might leave you bored because the story drags the game.

It seems like the developers of Persona 5 Tactica wanted to take a small element from Persona 5 Strikers by letting you move around enemies during battles. But they still kept the turn-based style of combat that Tactica is known for.

The design of the enemies is outstanding especially the main antagonist character of the story that is lady Marie. There are hints of insanity and wrath in her tone while she exudes an air of authority.

The voice actor did a fantastic job bringing the character to life. They deserve all the credit for creating such a scary and memorable villain. The English voice of the character did an amazing job bringing this new villain character to life.

It feels like she is less ethereal, and more like a standard leader, compared to some Persona 5 bosses. If fans can look past seeing their favorite imaginary character like this, they may think it’s a cute and likable change.

A 50 hour runtime might seem a bit short for most Persona fans. But I actually found myself replaying parts to get better scores. And New Game+ gives you an excuse to jump back in again with stronger characters.

Final Words Of the Review

Persona 5 Tactica has an enjoyable and interesting tale for those joining the Phantom Thieves again. The music, graphics, and strong connection of the characters strengthen this video game but sometimes you might feel like the less action in RPG players.

Although the story of Persona 5 is unique and enthralling personally I believe that at some point writer dragged the story.

It is a great addition to the persona serious and not one of the challenging parts. The designers at Atlus have proven they can make really fun turn-based combat too. Their battles are quick, have an impact, and reward smart thinking just like their other games.

So, if you want a video game with strong music along a story of bold characters, I must recommend persona 5. That’s worth playing.
